Do you love to play the recorder? Play on your own recorder or from the CSPA collection. Beginners will play soprano recorder and advanced students can choose from the collection of sopranino, alto, tenor and bass recorders. Enjoy learning new notes and play in a recorder ensemble. Styles of music will include music from the classic recorder repertoire, popular and rock music. Play duets, solos, and in a group. A short recital for family and friends will end this very affordable 4 day program.

Carol Arrucci, Owner of The Cortlandt School of Performing Arts, has been a music educator for over 25 years. Her Masters in Music Education had led to an exciting 30 year career in public school music education, Grades K-12, with a minor in vocal and piano performance. As a participant in the Manhattanville College Recorder Consort for 4 years, she was able to enjoy recorder performances at a high level and was able to expand into various sizes of recorders. Recorders were also a big part of her elementary school programs, when she taught at Greenwich Academy. Carol’s program will be offered for a large age range at a reasonable price, and players will enjoy music at their own level, and they will be divided into smaller ensembles to play with others of equal ability.
