JEFFREY J. BROWN - Guitar

A Senior Adjunct Music Professor at Westchester Community College, Jeff Brown is also the owner of The Westchester School of Guitar.  He teaches at CSPA to hang around with his longtime musical pals, Ray an Carol and to spread his teaching talents in a northern location.  He is presently an adjunct director of the guitar ensemble at The Hackley School in Tarrytown, and principal guitar instructor. He has experiences as guitar instructor at The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, Greenwich Academy, Ossining School of Music (where he was head of the guitar department), Westchester County Summer Music Center and Muscoot Music Program in Somers.  Professional performance experiences include a member of the Brown/Stein Guitar Duo, a CD Recording "In From the Edge" by the Jeff Brown Quartet (on Blue Sound Records), on Vermont Public Radio with the Jeff Brown Trio, various concerts with the Jeff Brown Quartet and concert appearances at The Wesport Playhouse, Tarrytown Music Hall and Yorktown Theater.  Jeff also performed as orchestral guitarist for professional productions of Grease, Joseph.......Dreamcoat, Evita, Pippin, JC Superstar, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Little Shop of Horrors, among others.  He has a Bachelor of Music Cum Laude Performane Degree from Berklee College of Music and attended SUNY Purchase for Music Theory Studies.  Jeff enjoyed professional studies with celebrated author of Modern Method for Guitar, William G. Leavitt and also studied privately with legendary Jazz artists Jim Hall and Gene Bertoncinni.  He is a graduate of Ossining High School.
