JEFF BARONE - GUITAR AND ELECTRIC BASS

NYC Guitarist/Educator Jeff Barone is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music, with a Masters Degree in jazz guitar. HE also studied at Ithaca College and earned his Bachelor of Music Education, there. Jeff has developed a strong reputation with his recordings (Crazy Talk and Open Up), live performances, and record producing. He has worked with trumpeter Tom Harrell’s Quintet along with groups led by Bobby Caldwell, and Blue Note artist Reuben Wilson. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, and at jazz festivals including the JVC Jazz Festival. In addition Jeff is active as a studio session guitarist and has worked on broadway shows such as Dear Evan Hansen, Cats, and Wicked to name a few. In addition, he has worked and/or recorded with actor/singers such as Linda Lavin, Kathleen Turner, Joely Fischer, Al Martino and Lucie Arnaz. He has produced recordings by Guitarist Jack Wilkins, "Until It's Time to Go” (Max Jazz 2009); Jim Silberstein, Express Lane (Consolidated Artists 2009 co-produced with Harvie S.); and Mike Dubaniewicz, Drive Time (Jazzed Media 2010). Jeff was featured in Scott Yanow’s book entitled “The Great Jazz Guitarists: the Ultimate Guide"(Hal Leonard Publishing 2013) and in 2008 was featured on the cover of Just Jazz Guitar Magazine.
