REGINA LEON - Voice Instructor (Croton and Mohegan Lake)

Soprano Regina Leon is a voice teacher, vocal coach, music director and an active performer of cabaret, musical theater and sacred music as a soloist and with small ensembles.  She is the lead instructor for the Summer Pre-College Vocal Intensive at SUNY Purchase. She is a NYSSMA Voice Adjudicator and teaches a workshop called “Vocal Styling and Performance” for the PAWS (Performing Arts Westchester Students) program at SUNY Purchase. She is the music director for Briarcliff High School musical theatre productions including “Urinetown,” “Cinderella” and “The Boys from Syracuse,” and Briarcliff Middle School musical theater productions including “Honk! Jr.,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Peter Pan,” and currently “The Sound of Music G2K Edition.” She is looking forward to teaching a singing class for adults at SUNY Purchase in the Spring of 2018. She was on the Voice Faculty at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) where she gave private lessons, master classes and taught a workshop on singing for actors. Her CD’s, “In Between,” (a compilation of standards and love songs) and “Christmas Present” with the vocal ensemble Amici Cantanti are available for download on all popular digital sites such as iTunes, Amazon mp3 and CD Baby. She studied voice with Cornelius Reid and holds a BS of Music/Applied Voice from SUNY New Paltz and a Certificate in Arts Management from SUNY Purchase.
