The Cortlandt School of Performing Arts:

Active in Music Associations and Community Relationships

MEMBERS OF COUNTY AND STATE MUSIC ASSOCIATIONS

Students from our music school are encouraged to participate in All-County and All-State NYSSMA concerts and Festivals.

Our private teachers prepare students for this experience and online vocal site-singing classes are offered to students outside of CSPA.

MEMBERS OF HUDSON VALLEY GATEWAY  CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE

The Cortlandt School of Performing Arts is a proud member of Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce .  We actively participate in their street fairs and attend special events which support other local businesses. Our teens have performed for the HVGCC holiday party (Dec. 2013) and in the spring of 2014, we hosted an after hours event along with Dylan's Wine Cellar, which featured the talents of our teens and  CSPA percussion instructor.

ARTS WESTCHESTER

ArtsWestchester has supported many projects that we have proposed.  This year, they have financially supported  Pleasantville Music Theater Productions, Inc and their production of  a wonderful children's show , Dean Friedman's "Smelly Feet" which will rehearse at CSPA, as well as the sold out production in April 2014 at The Paramount Peekskill, The String Pulse Experience.  This show starred Daisy Jopling, violinist and featured CSPA's drum instructor, Simon Boyar with over 250 young string players, singers and dancers from the Hudson Valley.  The entire event was co-produced by The Cortlandt School of Performing Arts and OJH Productions (See below)

Jim Witt's HOPE FOR YOUTH FOUNDATION

The Hope for Youth Foundation/Peekskill Rotary Club (HFY) donates money to area children's charities.  HFY assists children who are mentally and/or physically challenged, or who are ill or disadvantaged.  HFY also supports youth programs which facilitate healthy growth, whether it is academic, emotional or athletic.  CSPA has performed for this group and sells their beautiful Hudson Valley Weather calendar,(with Jim Witt's long range forecast) so that proceeds can help needy children.
