CREATING COMMERCIALS

In this four-part Introduction to Commercials Workshop, we will:

Explore improv techniques to create unique product and appropriate 30 second spots and video promos for our made-up commercial products, with solo, duo and trio presenters. We will cover the proper, confident way to command attention, when introducing one self (slating your name on-camera) and how to work with other commercial actors on set. We will create visual rapport with the viewer automatically, utilizing relaxation warm-up improv and vocal techniques to get ready. Also, we will cover basic ways to breakdown, understand and execute sample commercial copy, from cue card to camera. The Commercial Workshop will culminate in a mini-video presentation of our student's made-up commercial spots.

Class limit 16.
