Brittney received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Ithaca College and her Master of Arts from New York University. She has been teaching Middle and High School orchestras as well as chamber ensembles, since 1993. She has also had several years of experience teaching grades 3 through 5 strings as well. Though violin is her main instrument, she has been playing viola and cello since her undergraduate studies and has been teaching all of the stringed instruments for almost three decades. Brittney has performed regularly as a freelance classical violinist in a variety of local symphonies and pit orchestras, and she also plays the electric fiddle in several cover bands including "Losing Our Faculties," "Vinyl Siding," and "The Galtee Mountain Boys," among others. Whether teaching or performing, Brittney thoroughly enjoys sharing her love of music and inspiring young, budding musicians!
